7 Tips & Tricks to Use When Buying Wedding Anniversary Invitations

Monday, October 12th, 2009

Well here are some tips and tricks that you might want to look out for when buying your wedding anniversary invitation or any other invitation for that matter.

  1. Look out for the type of paper – Since you want to give a good impression on your guests and you don’t wanna come off as being cheap and buy a card that has bad paper quality. Since you are going to be, I assume, sending it by mail you want your invitation to retain it’s original shape and not arrive on it’s destination all bent up.
  2. Look if the card has already wordings written inside – the invitations that are used for formal wedding anniversary parties most likely will come with a predefined wording. This is sometimes good and sometimes not. The more you customize your wedding anniversary invitation the better and more original it will seam. Trust me when I say that you don’t want to come off as the couple that bought the predefined wedding anniversary invitation because they couldn’t think of a few lines for their invitation wordings. To read more about wedding anniversary invitation wordings visit this site for more information.
  3. The color scheme – How the colors are used on the invitation is extremely important. A good harmony is necessary and to find out if the card has a good harmony you just have to take a more closer look to it. See if any of the colors jump right of the invitation, as in it distracts the eye.
  4. The font on the invitation – Manny wedding anniversary invitations come with some kind of font on the front page and it is important that one can read the letters with out much strain. You have to think of your guests when doing this, you just don’t want them to receive a wedding anniversary invitation and not know to what have they been invited. If you want your invitation to have a decorated font, then just be sure that you find the one with the most readable letters.
  5. The font color – It is easy to find the card with the right font, but does its color fit on the invitation? The font should be slightly a complimentary color (the exact opposite of the color of the background as in black-white) so to provide a good readability to the guest.
  6. The shape of the card – Many cards have simple square shapes, and that’s all fine but you might want to buy a shaped invitation. Should you consider such a thing you must take into consideration the size of the invitation, simply because, and chances are, that you will be sending them via snail mail and thus you would want to make sure that it can fit in some of the standard envelope sizes.
  7. The price of the card – Wedding anniversary invitations are usually not that expensive, unless you wish to ask a graphic designer to make you one. But you must take into consideration the number of guests you are inviting on your big day and that number may range from 50 to about several hundred people and that could turn out to be a serious expense.

So keep these tips and tricks in mind and you will get the best out of your shopping experience.
